1. Overview

This website is operated by Kanal Collections. Throughout the site, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Kanal Collections. By accessing our website or purchasing in-store, you agree to comply with these Terms of Service (“Terms”). Our store is hosted by Shopify Inc.

2. Products, Jewellery & Professional Alterations

  • Accuracy: We endeavor to display product colors as accurately as possible, but we cannot guarantee that your monitor's display will be 100% accurate.
  • Jewellery: Due to hygiene reasons, all jewellery (including earrings and nose rings) are Final Sale.
  • Alterations: Any item that has been professionally stitched, altered, or customized specifically for you is considered a custom work and is Final Sale. No returns or exchanges are accepted for altered items unless a manufacturing fault is present.

3. Mandatory Opening Video Policy

To protect both the customer and the business regarding claims of damage or missing items, we strictly require an Opening Video:

  • The Process: You must record a continuous, unedited video of the parcel being opened for the first time.
  • Requirements: The video must clearly show the shipping label and the original, sealed state of the package before opening.
  • Evidence: In the event of transit damage or a missing item, this video serves as the required proof for any claim. Without a clear, unedited opening video provided within 48 hours, Kanal Collections reserves the right to reject any claims of damage or missing contents.

4. Pricing & Payments

  • All prices are listed in AUD (Australian Dollars).
  • We reserve the right to change prices or discontinue products without notice.
  • Online payments are processed securely; in-store purchases are by appointment and accept cash or card.

5. Shipping & Local Pickup

  • Dispatch: Orders are typically dispatched from Brisbane within 3–5 business days.
  • Local Pickup: Free local pickup is available at our Bridgeman Downs location by appointment only.
  • Liability: Kanal Collections is not responsible for courier delays once the item is dispatched. Please refer to Section 3 (Opening Video) for transit-related damage concerns.

6. Returns, Exchanges & Change of Mind

Our policy aligns with Australian Consumer Law:

  • Notification: If you have a "Change of Mind," you must notify us via Phone or WhatsApp within 48 hours of receiving your order (or 48 hours from in-store purchase). This is the preferred method for faster processing.
  • Refunds: We do not offer cash refunds for change of mind or fit issues. We offer Exchange or Store Credit only.
  • Condition: Items must be unworn, unwashed, and strictly free of makeup, tanning marks, deodorant stains, or scents (including perfume, body odor, or smoke). All tags must remain attached.
  • Faulty Items: If an item has a major manufacturing failure, you are entitled to a refund or replacement. The Opening Video is essential to verify the fault was present upon arrival.

7. Prohibited Uses

You are prohibited from using the site or its content for any unlawful purpose, to infringe upon intellectual property, or to harass or harm others.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Queensland, Australia.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of our website or services constitutes acceptance of these changes.
